Yesterday, Palatine paused to remember.

In 1973, three volunteer firefighters, John Wilson, Richard Freeman, and Warren Ahlgrim, gave their lives while protecting this community during the Ben Franklin fire.

More than 50 years later, their names are still spoken.
Their sacrifice is still felt.
Their legacy still lives here.

Moments like this remind us that community is not just where we live. It is what we protect together.

Some people own restaurants. George built a family.

George didn’t just own @chicagoprimesteak, he lived and breathed hospitality. For decades he showed up seven days a week because he truly loved his guests. Working side by side with his sons, he not only built a legacy, he helped shape them into restaurateurs too.

He loved his family deeply, and loved his customers as if they were family. And that love is what made Chicago Prime so special.

Rest in peace, George. You will be deeply missed by your family, your team, and the countless guests who became friends.
